Training and Experience |
Dr. Kelly Wade completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver and is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Virginia. She has experience working in private practice as well as with the Veterans Administration, where she has served the Fredericksburg area for over 10 years. Dr. Wade completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Mary Washington.
Dr. Wade provides services to adults with a wide range of presenting concerns including Anxiety, trauma, OCD, depression and mood disorders, and repetitive behaviors (e.g., skin picking and hair-pulling). Dr. Wade has over ten years experience working with military veterans and their families through her work at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and has a specialization in working with both civilians and veterans with trauma history. Dr. Wade also enjoys working with couples. |
Therapeutic Approach |
Dr. Wade uses an integrative approach to therapy, utilizing techniques from Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and trauma processing therapy such as Prolonged Exposure and Written Exposure Therapy.
