WellSpring's Story
WellSpring was founded by three doctoral-level Clinical Psychologists who came to the Fredericksburg area at a time when it was considered an underserved area in terms of behavioral healthcare. Their mission was to build a practice to attract more highly qualified professionals to our area, to provide integrated care for the whole family, and to provide a supportive and growth-oriented working environment. Over the first 10 years, the practice grew to include psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists, mental health nurse practitioners, and dietitians. Despite our growth, the practice is still managed and run by the same founding psychologists, who all live locally with their families.
We have always been dedicated to making our community a better place by helping people to know and accept themselves, to see their strengths, and to grow to their fullest potential. With services for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families, we aim to provide integrated care for the entire family system.
Our standards for our providers are high, and we hire individuals who are committed to lifelong professional development and growth, effective treatment approaches, and providing kind, compassionate care. Many of our clinicians are senior clinicians with 10 or more years of experience in their fields. Our newer clinicians and trainees are exceptional candidates who show unique potential in their fields. We provide a minimum of 2 years post-licensure support with a senior clinician to all newly licensed clinicians, so you can rest assured, you are in good hands!
