Teen Support Group

Teen Support Group

WellSpring is excited to offer this psycho-educational support group for high-school age teens. This group is focused on teaching teens valuable skills to manage the specific challenges of emerging adulthood, and provide them with adaptive skills that will last a lifetime.

About this Group:

Our Teen Support Group is designed to help teens navigate the important and sometimes challenging time of adolescence. Although this can be a stressful part of life for many individuals, it is also a great time to learn some valuable skills that will help to you effectively manage emotions, thoughts, and relationships both now and in the future.

The group is designed to teach skills, as well as to provide a time for teens to talk about things that are most important to them, and to get support from one another in a safe and nurturing environment.

Our curriculum is largely based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the DNA-V model of applying ACT techniques to teens. More information about ACT is available at: Good Therapy and at the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. Information on the DNA-V model is available at Thriving Adolescent.
