What is therapy?
There are many different types of therapy, and many different therapeutic styles, and it is important to find a therapist who is a good match for you.
At your first visit, your provider will conduct a comprehensive assessment focused on understanding your concerns, determining what your needs are, and discussing initial impressions of what might be helpful for you. You are encouraged to be actively involved in your therapy, and your provider may suggest doing some things at home (in between sessions) in order to achieve best results.
In general, individuals attend 45-minute sessions once a week or once every-other week for a limited time in order to address specific concerns. This time is committed to you and only you, and appointments are not double-booked. The length of treatment varies depending on what you would like to work on.
