Sally Spangler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She completed her Master of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University and her Bachelor of Art in Anthropology at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. Sally completed her clinical internships at Spotsylvania County Department of Social Services and National Counseling Group and her Clinical Supervision at Spotsylvania County Public Schools.
Sally has over 10 years of post-graduate experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in school and medical settings along with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals and families experiencing inter-familial conflicts, depression, anxiety, trauma and domestic violence. She has worked with individuals and families experiencing separation through foster care, sexual abuse/assault and domestic violence. |
Therapeutic Approach |
Sally utilizes various empirically supported therapeutic interventions that concentrate on individual growth and strengthening family units. She has been trained in and uses components from Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Bal-A-Vis-X. Sally is committed to holistic approaches with individuals and families with individualized approaches to maximize growth and support.
