Current Job Announcement:
Full-Time Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, or LPC
WellSpring Child and Family Psychology, PC is a thriving psychotherapy practice (located an hour south of Washington, DC and an hour north of Richmond, VA) that provides services for children, adolescents, families, couples and adults in the Fredericksburg community. We strive to offer high quality, coordinated services for the entire family, as well as a number of innovative courses and groups.
WellSpring is seeking a full-time (part-time options available) licensed therapist to provide high quality psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, families, and/or adults. Pre-licensed psychologists and social workers may apply provided that all coursework and requirements for the clinical degree have been met.
The candidate will have the flexibility to design a practice based on their areas of interest, which may include individual, family, and/or couples psychotherapy services, formal psychological and/or neurological assessment, groups, courses, or other programs of interest. Hours are flexible, and we work with each new employee to create a work-schedule that is sustainable and fulfilling.
The position offers a generous split-fee pay structure that allows employees to maximize earning potential. We employ W2 employees (not independent contractors), which offers potentially thousands in tax benefits each year to the employee. We also offer quality supervision/peer consultation, malpractice insurance, and optional health insurance coverage for full-time employees. We have noticed that many group practices inflate earning estimates in their job postings. While you could theoretically earn over 150k working full-time, we encourage a more sustainable work-life balance. Realistic earnings estimates based on actual employee earnings over the past year are available upon request. We work with each prospective employee to set reasonable and sustainable goals.
We work hard to promote a healthy and supportive work environment, and value the unique contributions that each clinician brings to the practice. The practice has a regular waitlist, strong community relations, and a steady referral base. New full-time providers can generally reach full caseload within a month, although we support a slower transition if the clinician prefers.
Minimum Requirements: A Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, clinical social work, or counseling, and licensed in the state of Virginia (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LCP). Experience and training in empirically supported treatments, or the desire to learn additional treatments, is highly valued. Our area is in particular need of child/adolescent providers. Pre-licensed psychologists may also apply, provided that all requirements for licensure have been met except for the licensure exam.
