Psychological
Assessment

Psychological ASsessment

Psychological Assessments, also called Psychological Testing or Psycho-educational Testing are complex evaluations that involve formal diagnostic interviews, behavioral observations, standardized testing, and self, parent, and/or teacher-reports. The information is gathered and integrated by a doctoral level Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and the results, recommendations, and any diagnoses are then detailed in a written report. Psychological Assessment is one of the most comprehensive ways to diagnose conditions such as Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disorders, and other psychological, educational, and neurological conditions. Our team is excited to offer this service!
Please Note: We are currently not accepting testing referrals.

Services:

We provide comprehensive assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults* for a variety of concerns including:
  • ADHD
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Learning Disorders
  • Dyslexia/Dysgraphia
  • Developmental and Behavioral Concerns
  • Neuropsychological Assessment
  • Mood Disorder
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Anxiety Disorder
  • Educational Concerns/ Educational Testing
*Note: we do not currently provide personality assessments

Providers:

All components of testing, from start to finish, will be completed by a Doctoral Level Clinical Psychologist with specific expertise in the area of psychological assessment.

the process:

  • Initial Phone Call: We will first gather basic information about your concerns, to determine whether psychological assessment is appropriate.
  • Waitlist: If we believe our services will be a good fit, we will place you on the waitlist and will contact you when it's your turn.
  • Intake: At the initial session, we will gather information about your concerns, confirm that testing is appropriate (or provide additional recommendations/referrals) obtain a thorough history, and determine which measures will be helpful in assessing your concerns. We will then develop a personalized testing plan.
  • Testing Sessions: You/your child will return for additional testing sessions to complete the assessment. We may send checklists to teachers or parents as well.
  • Written Report: After testing is complete, the psychologist will score, interpret, and write-up the results of all assessment components. The formal written report will include results, recommendations, and any diagnoses.
  •  Feedback Session: Finally, you will meet with your psychologist to go over the results/findings and answer any questions you have. We will discuss recommendations and referrals at that time as well.
